A Family HVAC Legacy Since 1994
Airsource Air Conditioning began in South Florida in 1994, founded by Wayne Bowers and Karl Geus. Wayne’s three sons learned the trade while helping the family deliver dependable HVAC service across the region.
Today, Wayne’s son Russ Bowers continues that family legacy from Lehigh Acres, serving homes and businesses throughout Lee, Collier, Charlotte and Hendry counties. Wayne Russell Bowers — Founding Partner of Airsource Air Conditioning
Wayne Russell Bowers was born in Newark, New Jersey, on November 20, 1942. After serving his country in the United States Army, Wayne built a life and career in South Florida, developing extensive experience in the air-conditioning trade.
His professional journey included working at Airko, where he strengthened the technical knowledge, work ethic, and practical problem-solving skills that would later help him build a business of his own. Wayne understood that dependable air conditioning in South Florida wasn’t a luxury—it was an essential service that families and businesses relied upon.
In June 1994, Wayne and his business partner, Karl Geus, founded Airsource Service, Inc., the company that later became Airsource Air Conditioning. From the beginning, Airsource was built around straightforward service, careful diagnosis, and dependable workmanship.
Outside the trade, Wayne was an avid fisherman and a devoted family man. He and his wife, June, raised three sons—Wilson, Daniel, and Russell—and a daughter, Susan. Their children became involved in the company, learning the HVAC trade and helping Airsource serve customers throughout South Florida.
Wayne passed away on April 30, 2022, at the age of 79. His legacy lives on through his family, the company he helped build, and Airsource Air Conditioning’s continuing commitment to dependable service.
Karl C Geus
Karl C Geus — Founding Partner of Airsource
Karl Charles Geus is a highly knowledgeable HVAC tradesman whose career has been built on technical skill, practical experience, and a commitment to teaching others the trade.
Before helping establish Airsource, Karl worked at Airko, where he developed extensive hands-on experience in the heating and air-conditioning industry. His knowledge eventually extended beyond fieldwork: Karl also taught HVAC in a trade-school setting, sharing the skills and lessons he had gained with a new generation of technicians. In Broward County he taught with an apprenticeship training program for heating and air-conditioning installers and servicers.
In June 1994, Karl joined Wayne R. Bowers as a founding partner of Airsource Service, Inc., the company that would later become Airsource Air Conditioning. Together, they created a business founded on technical knowledge, dependable service, and honest workmanship.
Beyond his accomplishments in the HVAC industry, Karl built a family with his wife, Martha, and their two daughters, Amanda and Mary. His legacy includes not only the company he helped establish, but also the technicians he taught and the knowledge he contributed during a lifetime in the air-conditioning trade.
Today, Karl continues his career in South Florida, where his experience and technical knowledge remain a leading asset in the highly demanding Miami metropolitan HVAC market.
